 | | Work started Monday on the preparation for construction of Wal-Mart on State Route 26 and U.S. 460 in the Town of Appomattox. Workers from Johnson Excavating, a subcontractor of C.L. Lewis, began this week on prep work such as erosion control at the proposed entrance at the future Wal-Mart site. C.L. Lewis is the contractor.
