A man accused of organizing a drug deal that resulted in two men being murdered had his case postponed Wednesday in Pittsylvania County Circuit Court.
Jraad A'Majh Simpson, 26, of Milton, N.C. is accused of setting up the drug deal that led to the double murder at Virginia Carolina Homes on May 9, 2007.
"The case has been continued," said Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney Bryan Haskins, who was set to prosecute.
Haskins said the new date is set for the next grand jury's scheduled meeting.
"Things get complicated and you don't always try someone when you're scheduled to," Haskins said.
Simpson is charged with two counts of murder and one count of malicious wounding, and seven other charges stemming from the incident.
Simpson was originally scheduled to have a two-day jury trial.
In February, Marcus Davis was found not competent to stand trial in Pittsylvania County Circuit Court and was committed to a mental health facility.
He will be tried when it is ruled his competency has been restored by being taught how court proceedings work.
Roger Stephens, another suspect in the shooting, was arrested Tuesday night.
Stephens is charged with the murder of Titus.
