The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for a suspect involved in a Brookneal shooting early Sunday morning, August 10, according to Captain L.T. Guthrie.
Investigators responded to a call at 3:42 a.m. at the Southern Pride Car Wash in Brookneal in reference to a shooting. While riding on the scene, a victim was found shot in the hand and thigh, said Guthrie.
Investigation led the Sheriff's Office to issue a felony warrant for suspect Stanley Tyrone Palmer, 29, of Halifax. The suspect is still at large and anyone with any information of his whereabouts is asked to please call the Campbell County Sheriff's Office at 283-9580. All replies will be confidential.
Palmer currently has warrants on file for malicious wounding, use of firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
