The Smith Mountain Eagle welcomes letters from its readers on any subject of interest to the community. Letters must be signed and include a phone number where you can be reached during the day. The Smith Mountain Eagle will not print letters judged to be libelous or in bad taste and reserves the right to reject any letter. We reserve the right to edit letters for accuracy, grammar, clarity and space. Letters may be mailed, e-mailed or submitted in person to our office Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The Smith Mountain Eagle of Womack Publishing Company has the right to accept or reject any advertising. In the event of an error, Womack Publishing is only responsible for the price of ad insertion. All political advertising must be paid prior to publication.
