DANVILLE —Danville Regional Medical Center announced today that the hospital is proceeding with plans to place a free-standing emergency department within the community.

The Womack Foundation, which has a long history of providing financial assistance for education and recreation, is accepting grant applications from charitable organizations in Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Caswell County, N.C.
