Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant against a suspect wanted in a weekend shooting that left three people wounded.

Capt. George Coleman said the sheriff’s office issued a warrant Wednesday against Barry Jermaine White, 37, of Hickory Road in Chatham.

White, who remains at large, is wanted for felonious assault, said the captain.

He is considered armed and dangerous, Coleman added.

The multiple shooting happened Sunday around 2 a.m. at 420 Easley Road in the Rondo community, about five miles west of Chatham.

The victims included Jamey Ryan Johnson, 34, of Mount Cross Road in Dry Fork; Jackie Calloway, 46, of Easley Road in Chatham; and Derrick Word, 27, of Robin Court in Chatham.

All three remain hospitalized.

Johnson and Calloway are in serious but stable condition while Word is in serious condition, said the captain.

Coleman said investigators do not have a motive for the shooting, which took place during a large party.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Coleman or Investigator Anita Davis at 432-7931 or Pittsylvania County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-791-0044.
