GRETNA — A Gretna woman lost her right leg Monday evening following an accident at her home.

Clyde Price of 105 Gay Street in Gretna told Gretna patrolman John Hewitt that he was in the driver’s seat and his wife, Jean, 79, was helping him back their recreational vehicle into the driveway.

Price’s niece, Deborah Price Moran, said Mrs. Price came around to the driver’s side of the RV, slipped on wet grass in a drainage ditch, and was run over by the vehicle.

Another family member, Alice Aylor, stopped by for a visit and saw Mrs. Price lying on the ground.
