BACHELORS HALL — Bachelors Hall Volunteer Fire Department on Berry Hill Road will sponsor its Ninth Annual Trail Ride fund-raising event Saturday, Sept. 8.
The ride will begin at 10 a.m., and will be followed by a grilled chicken dinner, 50-50 raffle, and auction of donated items, said fire department board member Jim Jennings.
Registration will be held at the fire station beginning at 7 a.m. Anyone who wants to register early can call Jennings at 489-1179.
Registration requires a negative Coggins test for horses.
The cost of the ride and dinner is $25 for adults and $15 for children under 10. The cost of the ride without dinner is $15.
For more information or a flyer, call Jennings or trail boss Johnny Duncan at 334-9070, Andy Mills at 685-3081, Chief Leonard Johnson at 728-3929, or board member Kenneth Harris at (434) 548-2940.
Many area merchants and friends of the fire department are sponsoring the event. Anyone who would like to donate items for the auction is welcome, Jennings said.
