Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is still trying to piece together what happened in Chatham shooting early Sunday morning.
According to a news release, three victims were shot at 420 Easley Road in Chatham.
Deputies along with EMS crews responded following a 911 call at approximately 2:01 a.m., a sheriff's office spokesman said.
Deputies found three victims suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
All three were airlifted to a nearby trauma center.
Two were in critical condition. The condition of the third victim was not known.
"At this time, investigators are trying to determine the cause of the shooting," said Sheriff Mike Taylor.
