Richard “Yankee” Chilen Sandmeyer passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on September 9, 2012. He was born in St. James, Minnesota, on October 3, 1937, to the late George John and Elvina Marie Sandmeyer.

BLANCH, N.C. — James Henry Powell, age 88, of 3668 Blanch Road, Blanch, N.C., died Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Roman Eagle Memorial Home. He had been a resident of Roman Eagle for the past 12 months.

DANVILLE — Michelle Renee Ogni, 42, of Heritage Towers in Danville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, following a lengthy illness. The pain and suffering she endured on this earth has come to an end and she is now at peace.

Barbara Dalton Shelton, age 74, of 520 Samuel Harris Lane, Chatham, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, after a three month battle with cancer.

RINGGOLD — Nellie Lewis Moore, 92, formerly of Ringgold, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Roman Eagle Memorial Home where she had been a resident for three years.
