John David Cothran, age 69, of 1241 Fairview Rd. Chatham, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Danville Regional Medical Center.
He was born on October 13, 1942, in Newport News, and was the son of the late Harold Thornton Cothran and the late Kathryn Doss Cothran.
He is survived by his wife, Ashby Montague Coleman Cothran.
