A Concord man was sentenced last Wednesday to three months in jail for selling marijuana.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Warren sentenced William Stanley to five years in prison with all suspended but three months on the condition of two years supervised probation upon release from incarceration.
The Appomattox County Sheriff’s Department received information that Stanley was growing marijuana at his residence.
In January, Appomattox County officers found a 9-ounce marijuana bag that was packaged for sell.
Around three marijuana plants were also found growing in a room closet as well as scales and lights to help the plants grow.
Scott DeBruin represented Stanley.
