Ashlynn Rose "Rosie" Hauser

Beautiful Ashlynn Rose "Rosie" Hauser, age 8, of Mountain View Road, Appomattox, VA, earned her "Golden Angel Wings" so that she could fly with the angels after a long and courageous fight, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York with her mom, dad and family by her side.

Ashlynn was born in Hope Valley, RI on July 17, 2003. She was the loving daughter of George and Danielle (Howard) Hauser.

Ashlynn was a very special girl who taught so much to so many in her short time here with us. Those who were blessed enough to know her will never forget her or her contagious smile.

Ashlynn was a student at Appomattox Elementary School. She loved crafts, dancing, singing, Justin Bieber, baby dolls and puppies. While at the Ronald McDonald House, Ashlynn had earned her green belt in karate and was learning to play the piano, harmonica and guitar.

Ashlynn was full of life. She has taught all of us a lot about bravery and strength and enjoying every day to the fullest. She had the brightest of smiles and the biggest heart.

Rosie will be sadly missed by her mom and dad, her siblings, George, Ericha, Elizabeth, Cory, her maternal grandparents, Richard and Virginia Howard of Ashaway, RI, her paternal grandparents, Lois Johnson of Appomattox, VA and George and Natasha Hauser of Red House, VA. Ashlynn will be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and a large extended family.

Services were held in Hope Valley, RI on Saturday, December 31, 2011 amid a sea of pink as the family had requested that guests please wear Ashlynn's favorite color.

Memorial contributions will be accepted by the family payable to Danielle Howard c/o Washington Trust Company P.O. Box 96, Richmond, RI 02898.

The family would like to thank everyone who has kept Ashlynn and her family in their thoughts and prayers over the course of her illness and for their continued prayers for the family
